Poison-Drooling Dog Pokemon by FnrrfYgmSchnish Poison-Drooling Dog Pokemon by FnrrfYgmSchnish
A series of Poison-type dog Pokémon I made; current names (might not be final) are Slurpuppy, Droolog, and Slobberuff.

As you might be able to tell from the Level 16 and Level 32 evolutions, these guys are one of the three lines of "starter" Pokémon I'm making. Instead of the oh-so-overdone Grass/Fire/Water, I'm using a lesser-known type triangle: Poison, Ground, and Grass.

Their main feature is their poisonous drool; also they tend to fly in the face of the common human stereotypes about dogs... a few examples:

* They're not really all that loyal... at least, not any more loyal than any other critter is. They only obey humans because humans give them food.
* The smaller ones aren't safe for kids, because they can't control their poison yet and are likely to accidently poison a kid by licking them.
* The big ones ARE safe around little kids, as they have perfect control over the poison in their drool and can choose to not make any poison at all (just like snakes.)
* They don't randomly try to kill cats for no reason, though they tend to be TERRIFIED of mice and other rodents.

6/17/07 UPDATE: Upgraded shading on Droolog and Slobberuff; slightly modified Droolog's feet; fixed two of Slobberuff's weird legs, though the front right leg still needs a bit of work.

Poison hasnt been done
Ground has been done 2 times
Grass has been done too

The over looked pokemon are really the ghost type. And certain types of psychic or fighting type.

Uh... I wasn't talking about which types are overlooked...

I was talking about starter type triangles--Grass/Fire/Water is the one all the official games have used, but it's not the only one that works. The three others that work are Poison/Ground/Grass (the one I'm using), Rock/Fighting/Flying, and Fire/Rock/Steel.

So yeah, if I was going to make them all underused/underappreciated types it would probably be Poison, Ghost, and Bug. But that doesn't really work as a type-triangle for the starters.
